The ATLAS.ti IIQM Dissertation Award

The International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (IIQM) at the University of Alberta, with sponsorship from ATLAS.ti, will annually make an award to the best doctoral dissertation, from any academic discipline, containing research based on qualitative methodology.
AWARD
- $3000 cash award
- an ATLAS.ti software licence
- complimentary ATLAS.ti training
Award presentation for the ATLAS.ti IIQM Dissertation Award will take place at the Qualitative Health Research Conference (QHR) in October, 2012 in Montreal.
The award recipient will be showcased on the IIQM website and at the 2012 Qualitative Health Research Conference. An invitation will be extended to present major findings at the conference. Complimentary conference registration will be provided.
EVALUATION
Applications for the award will be evaluated in the following areas:
- quality of documentation
- quality of writing
- quality of research method
- quality of presentation
- ethical standards
- impact
Dissertations must have been successfully defended within 18 months of the award's submission deadline in order to be considered. Receiving or being considered for other awards does not preclude a student from applying for this award.
